OK we admit it! The user interface for adding/editing destinations in PicPush was tricky to figure out! (To say the least!) We’ve known for a while that it was a less than optimal solution. But last week steps were finally taken to resolve it. Read on for all the gorey details.
The new approach uses the good ole tried and trusty 3 step wizard method.
- Choose a service
- Login / Authorize on the web
- Choose an Album (We even snuck in a new feature to create an album!)
And that’s it, You’re done!
There’s not much else to say really, this new approach is simple and efficient. Much better than the old way and we hope you enjoy it! Now that our head is back in the game its probably time to start adding more services! See below for a screenshot walkthrough of the new UX (User Experience!) on the excellent Nexus One.

Love the program. been using it with Picasa for a while now. tryed adding Facebook, but it doesn’t recognize any of the albums I already have, and adds new picpush album every time.

Why did you stop working on PicPush? It was great app for automatic uploading of day full of photos, and just when you added a plugin platform you had to close shop – why?! This app has awesome functions, has great interface, far better than any other app of the same functionality…

Ya it’s been too long since i released a good update
Things like my day job are getting in the way!
Some day soon, I’m going to split off into a new build for Android 2.2, to use some of the new features, and Picasa video upload has been missing for too long also.
Apostol, thanks for your suggestions all the way along I just haven’t had time to implement them!

Where did PicPush go? I can’t find it in the Android Market anymore! Scanning the barcode gives me no results. My trial version just expired on my N1 and I desperately want to purchase the full version. What’s going on?

Am stuck trying to add my facebook account. It says ‘generated 1 time key, take a note’. But after that all I see is an error from facebook.com
Where is the 1 time key supposed to go ? On screen ? Sms ? Email ? Facebook ?
If I get this working to facebook I will buy the app for sure

It would be lovely if we could push to DropBox too. That way it would also get sync’ed to our desktop computers..
